With the new version of WordPress (version 3.0) now available for users to download, there's changes which really means a major change in theme development and for anyone running 2.x versions, be careful when upgrading. IMPORTANT: Always do a full backup of your site before you do anything and use a development site to test major changes.

New WordPress 3.0 Coding for Themes

WordPress has been known to change things that affects your site without letting anyone know. This happened when they went to 2.8, so it means theme design and development is a job and a half to keep up and requires more of a learning curve. Pixel Theme Studio is now coding for WordPress 3.0 as of July 1st and will take in account the WP 3.0 new menu system - but will give you the option to use the previous method of menus.

The Corporate Theme will be Completely New

So with this being said, how does this apply to the ever popular "Corporate" theme that I have? Well, as the title of this article states, the Corporate theme for WordPress (and Joomla) is getting a complete redesign. I was planning to do a few upgrades but decided I can make this popular theme even better. However, there is one piece of information you should be aware of...the Corporate theme will actually be completely new and will not be offered as an update to the older 2009 version. The major difference will be the overall design but will also have control panel options, along with WP 3.0 menus.
