A cliche saying but the news is that I decided to retire the older Corporate theme for WordPress and Joomla for the new version that I feel kick butt of the old one! So what lead to this decision and what about the other themes? Basically it's just the sign of the times with the new WordPress 3.0 out with big changes and much better design functionality with my themes now.

The Corporate 3 now Replaces the Corporate

In case you are wondering where is "the Corporate 2" theme since you read "corporate" and "corporate 3", there is no version 2. I named the new one Corporate 3 because it was developed for WordPress 3.0 ...which is the new version of WordPress. So hence the "Corporate 3" name.

So on that note, I just felt with the significant changes that WordPress 3.0 brings, this pretty much messes with older themes that were originally developed on the 2.x versions, which also means anyone else who created themes in the past, now have big decisions to make. For myself, I decided to just start designing new themes for WordPress 3.0 but over the rest of the year, I will gradually retire the older themes and opt in for redesigned versions of each one -- of course it depends on which ones I will completely remake.

The other significant reason why I decided to retire the older Corporate for the new one is because I've been advancing even more with WordPress theme development and the older one just doesn't compete anymore. Things like a settings control panel for themes are now going to be part of all new themes I release, better coding overall, and more functionality.

Say Goodbye to Older Themes!

Ok, not quite yet but as I mentioned, over the span of what is left of this year, I will gradually be replacing older themes with new ones...all built for WordPress 3. So basically what will happen is when one is developed to replace a previous one, that older one will then be removed, being replaced with the new improved version. I should also mention (before you wonder about new designs) that I plan to still design "new styles" in addition to remaking old ones...hopefully that made sense?
